Maximo system properties to Send A GMAIL using SSL and TLS from MAXIMO Applications

SYSTEM PROPERTIES WHICH ENABLES MAXIMO TO SEND AN E-MAIL

 If we set the following values in the system properties application, we can send an E-mail using Maximo where ever E-mail sending facility available.

For Ex:

 Using

       1) Bulletin Board Application

Or  2) Escalation and Communication Applications

Note:If any of the mentioned properties not found in the system application by default, please add them by clicking New Row button and mention corresponding values..

I) Sending an E-mail from Gmail Server:

We can send a mail from a Gmail Account by connecting to its server in two ways.

1)SSL (Secured Socket Layer)

2)TLS (Transport Level Security)

1) The below properties for Gmail SMTP Server Using SSL mechanism…(Special for Gmail)

mail.smtp.auth =true

mail.smtp.port=465

mxe.smtp.password=xyz

mxe.smtp.user=chava.nagaraju@gmail.com

mail.smtp.host=smtp.gmail.com

mail.smtp.socketFactory.class=javax.net.ssl.SSLSocketFactory

mail.smtp.ssl.enable=true

(OR)

2) The below properties for TLS Gmail SMTP Server Using SSL mechanism…(Common for any Type of Mail Server)

mail.smtp.auth =true

mail.smtp.port=587

mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true

mxe.smtp.password=xyz

mxe.smtp.user=chava.nagaraju@gmail.com

mail.smtp.host=smtp.gmail.com

=>By replacing the corresponding values we can connect to any type of Mail server using the Above properties.
